B.Sc. Nursing (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

BSC Nursing Eligibility Criteria
  • Educational Qualification: You must have passed the Class 12 (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English as compulsory subjects.
  • Minimum Marks:
    • General/EWS Category:  Minimum 45% aggregate in PCB.
    • Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBC):  Minimum 40% aggregate in PCB.
    • You must also pass English individually.
  • Age Limit: You must be at least 17 years old by 31st December of the admission year (born on or before Dec 31, 2009, for 2026 admissions). The upper age limit is generally 35 years, with a 5-year relaxation for PwD candidates.
  • Nationality & Domicile: You must be an Indian Citizen and possess a Maharashtra Domicile Certificate to be eligible for state quota seats. 

2. Entrance Exam (MH-Nursing CET)

  • Mandatory: Qualifying for the state-level CET is mandatory for admission to both government and private nursing colleges in Maharashtra.
  • Qualifying Percentile:
    • Open/EWS: 50th percentile.
    • Reserved/PwD: 40th percentile.
  • Exam Pattern: A 90-minute computer-based test with 100 MCQs covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Nursing Aptitude (20 marks each). There is no negative marking

4. Admission Process

  1. Registration: Apply online at the official CET Cell website.
  2. Entrance Exam: Appear for the MH-B.Sc. Nursing CET (typically in May).
  3. Counselling (CAP): Register for Centralised Admission rounds after results.
  4. Preference Filling: List your preferred colleges (up to 300 choices).
  5. Seat Allotment: Seats are allotted based on CET merit, category, and your preferences.
